Karamee Thornley, a quiet twenty-three-year-old college student, lives a quaint life in the small town of Wisteria Heights, Washington. That is, until the day she lets the very charismatic and mysterious Chance into her life. For the first time, it seems, she has met someone who complements her heart in a way that no other could. She is unaware, though, that Chance is actually a Collector, a primordial order of vampires created to discover the vampire legends of ancient prophecy before their transformation can begin. As she struggles to understand the truth behind her destiny, the quiet life she clings to begins to unravel, and little by little her world, like her own being, is transformed. Filled with chaos, excitement, romance and more, this story sends Chance and Karamee down a path of undeniable love and despair, leading to the climatic event that may prove to be Karamee's demise.
